This is a new class offered by Wet Yet? Water Fitness that focuses on core stabilization training, balance, strength and coordination. Exercises are performed in the swimming pool in water that is chest deep using the water’s resistance as a wonderful medium for executing motions to gently improve alignment and agility. No swimming skills are needed to participate. Exercises from the traditional land based Pilates classes as well as other core-specific movements are transferred to the aquatic environment of the pool. Relaxation techniques are incorporated to increase mind/body awareness. The class is 45 minutes.
